FADE HAIRCUTS
DONE RIGHT —
EVERY TIME.
Clean blends. Sharp lines. Consistent results.
A fade is one of the most technical cuts a barber does — and one of the most unforgiving when it's done wrong. At Kingdom Barber Studio, every cut starts with a real consultation. We talk through what you want, what works with your hair, and what will actually hold up before we start blending.
THE TYPES OF FADES
WE CUT MOST.
Every fade starts at a different point on the head and creates a different overall look. Here's how to know which one is right for you.
Low Fade
The fade starts just above the ear and the neckline, keeping most of the hair length intact on the sides. The most conservative and professional-looking option — it grows out cleanly and can go 3–4 weeks between visits. Works for every hair type and face shape.
Mid Fade
The most requested fade we do. The blend starts around the temple and is versatile enough to work with almost any top style — textured crop, tapered top, longer lengths. Looks sharp without being aggressive. Needs a touch-up every 3 weeks to stay looking right.
High Fade
The fade starts high on the sides — near the top of the head — creating strong contrast between the sides and the top. Bold and deliberate. Needs to be paired with an intentional top style to pull it off. Comes back in every 2–3 weeks to stay crisp.
Skin Fade
Any of the above — low, mid, or high — taken all the way down to bare skin at the shortest point. The cleanest, sharpest version of a fade. Also the most demanding: it shows growth quickly and needs a touch-up every 1–2 weeks to stay looking fresh.
FADE OR TAPER —
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
Fade
Blends from longer hair on top down to very short or skin on the sides — the transition is dramatic and the contrast is the point. Looks its sharpest in the first 1–2 weeks. Needs more frequent visits to maintain. If you want that clean, sharp look that makes people notice, this is it.
Taper
Gradually shortens from the top of the head to the neckline without a hard fade line or skin exposure. Grows out more gracefully, stays looking clean for 3–4 weeks, and reads as more polished in professional environments. The smarter option if you don't want to be in the chair every two weeks.

How much does a fade haircut cost at Kingdom Barber Studio?
Fade haircuts at Kingdom Barber Studio in Bryan, TX start at $40. If it's your first visit, we recommend the New Client Haircut ($40, 45 min) which includes extra consultation time so your barber can understand your hair before making any decisions.
What types of fades do you offer?
We offer low fades, mid fades, high fades, and skin fades. All can be combined with any top style — textured crop, longer length, tapered top, or clean buzz. Your barber will recommend the right starting point based on your hair type, face shape, and how often you want to come in for touch-ups.
How long does a fade haircut take?
Most fade haircuts at Kingdom Barber Studio take approximately 35 minutes. If it's your first visit, the New Client Haircut is 45 minutes to allow for a full consultation. Adding a beard trim extends the appointment to about 45 minutes.
How often do I need to come in to maintain a fade?
Skin fades need a touch-up every 1–2 weeks to stay sharp. High and mid fades hold up for about 2–3 weeks. Low fades and tapers can go 3–4 weeks before they start to soften. Walk-ins are always welcome at Kingdom Barber Studio — no appointment needed.
What fade works best for my face shape?
Most face shapes work well with a mid fade — it's the most versatile option. Round faces typically benefit from higher fades that create length and contrast. Square and angular faces can handle almost any fade. Oval faces are the most flexible. Your barber will give you an honest recommendation based on your specific face shape during the consultation.
Can I walk in for a fade at Kingdom Barber Studio?
Yes — walk-ins are welcome during all business hours. If you want a specific barber, booking online is recommended, especially on Saturdays which tend to fill up. Kingdom Barber Studio is located at 4413A S Texas Ave, Bryan, TX 77802.
